| Post subject: | Jimny remote locking issue |
Having a issue with the remote locking on the wife’s 2007 Jimny. When we brought it the key was playing up tried cleaning it and putting a new rubber button part in it, it kind of worked for a while then fully stopped and then the key started to fall apart. So went to the local Suzuki dealer and got a new key and coded. When I picked it up the key would not remotely unlock it. But did start, so went back in and they tried recoding etc but it still didn’t work. I’m thinking it it’s either 1. Not fully coded correctly 2. Something blocking the connection. it does have a older style radio with a plug in Bluetooth adapter but that is turned off when the Jimny is turned off so would not think it’s that 3. Fault with the receiver. I have searched and googled but everyone seems to just have problems with the their old key. It’s still with Suzuki overnight. But i don’t really want to spend too much with the dealer while they chase their tails. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Update All sorted now. Technician at dealer had not done it correctly and never checked to see if every thing worked before letting the front desk now it was finished. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
