I found a way to disconnect the most annoying door alarm on the new jimny while still keeping the alarm if you leave your headlights on. Thats a handy alarm. Just take the covers off the steering column and a white plug on the lefthand side of column behind the back of the ignition switch block sitting vertically with a white and brown wire going in the top and two green wires comi g out the bottom. Just unplug and stops the beep beep when the key is in the ignition with the door open. I have photos if it helps but I'm new to thw site and unsure how to upload. Also be aware that colour codes will most likely be different from model to model. Reply if you want a photo.

Good mod,I did this but on my 2012 jim it wasn't around the steering wheel area as took off the shroud and couldn't find it but I pulled down the flap/cover just above the brake pedal and found the correct plug there and simply unplugged it....yay beeping gone. Damn that used to annoy me but the headlights still alarm when left on but that's a good thing.
Bloody good mod that

Same deal for a 2013 model, worked exactly the same...one of the best mods to the Jimny I've done.

So which wiring re the SeatBelt...

Same issue, in Paddock or out bush and working and in and out every 10 or 20 Meters. PITA to clip seat belt tongue in and then keep sitting on it.

Well done. Just disconnected mine. Soo annoying when you are parked and want the radio on and the door open.
Thanks

I disconnected both, those beeps get to be a problem when on a farm, every time you get out to get a gate it annoys you and I don't drive around a farm with the seat belts on.
