G'day all, i brought a 1.6m long by 1.4m wide roof rack and planning on fitting it to my sierra ute, seeing the sierras are naturally slow, i know this will impact the little performance my 1.0 has. the rack is a cage and made from Ally, any tips? if i should or shouldn't? thanks for any feedback!

If you have a Sierra ute and you need basically double the load area you have the wrong car for the job. Sierras are awful with any load up high and it's hard enough to keep a ute under GVM, there will be no way with a roof rack if you intend to put anything on it. Once they are over GVM they drive very poorly and the 1.0 will struggle.

Sierras are best kept light. Being light is their USP.

yeah, im trying to source an ally tray to replace the steel one i have on it to lighten it up, thanks for the advice though!
