Having ignition trouble, ideas and input welcomed

SJ410

Not getting spark at the spark plug ❌

Have checked fuses and that power goes to ignition coil and distributor cap. They do✅

I did a test to prove ignition coil works by plugging spark plug lead directly into ignition coil and wrapped some cable around ig coil negative and arced the other end of the cable to motor frame this showed the spark plug arcing. ✅

I have replaced the points in the distributor cap, set the contact gap with a thin piece of paper and cleaned the distributor cap, new spark plug leads have been ordered but I don’t think there the issue.

Fuel gets to carby no problems also.

Any help appreciated

Follow the 12v leads from the Coil and check connections
That was my issue

If you're getting a spark from the coil but not to the plug, the problem HAS to be between the coil & the plug - in other words - distributor cap, rotor or leads - the spark is there but not getting from the source (the coil) to the destination (the plugs)

And please, feeler gauges aren't expensive, set the contact breaker gap correctly.
