[Drover.Dave]

Hi all,
First time on here. I've just picked up my first Zook (almost, it's a drover) and I am getting started on it.
Not ready for the road yet, I fear it's been out of action for a couple of years.

I just re-built the carby over the weekend, my first time having a crack at something like that, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Bolted back on but decided to have a look at the fuel before connecting it back to the carby. Very glad i did, never seen fuel in worse shape.
It was orange with tiny orange crystals in it......YUK!! Oh well, time to drop the tank for a clean and replace the filter.

Then... next up, bleeding the brakes..

I'm sure i'll be on here regularly looking for advice.

A small inline fuel filter right before that freshly rebuilt carby will give it a bit of cheap and easy insurance against anything the main filter misses, degrading fuel lines or particularly a failing fuel pump.

Oh, btw the "rigs of auszookers" section is better suited if you plan to keep giving updates on the car.
