500kpa is only 72psi. I would expect the compression to be 180psi or thereabouts. Is there something I'm missing? |

Yeah, I was sitting on the couch last night and ended up putting that figure into a converter because working it out in my head was giving me a ridiculously low number....like 72psi. 250KPa is 36.7psi. I have no idea where your mechanic gets that figure. For a stock G16B, minimum compression is 1200KPa, standard is 1400KPa. Did he miss the 1 off the start of off of all those figures? |

I’m hoping that’s the case , I’ll be asking tomorrow, it would make more sense if a 1 was missed from the start of all the numbers, it wasn’t the mechanic that wrote it , it was the lady at the desk. Just doesn’t seem right because it doesn’t blow any smoke, no leaks, starts easy, no strange noises, doesn’t chew oil and no loss of power. |

Even if he did, the variation in between the cylinders is I believe out of spec. |
