Hey all, I have a misfiring issue and really keen to hear your advice and thoughts. Its a 98 sierra, 1.3L, with a 6 month old webber 32/36 This happened about a month ago, after about 10 minutes of driving it starts to develop quite a bad misfire. It will idle fine, but revving anything above 1200rpm it misfires alot. It feels like it surges forward under load. It stalls easily and if you turn the motor off, its hard to start it again and requires alot of cranking. But, if its left for about 5 minutes it will crank over and run fine for a few minutes - then it starts to misfires. So far I have installed brand new: - spark plugs - leads - distributor cap - rotor - ignition coil Appreciate any helpful hints or advice. Cheers! |

Fuel filter/pump Filter will be worse driving uphill I had a similar problem with a bit of solder floating in my fuel tank and blocking the pickup after about 5 mins driving. |

Cheers man. Ive not had experience with this before and what I'd need to do next. Having a read through other threads, do I drain the fuel, check the tank and the pickup? And also change out the fuel filter? |
