I’ve got a old drover that I bought for a carton of beer and it’s got this carby on it and I can’t find what it is? I think it’s been underwater and carby float valve was not closing, but it could do with a kit through it as it was gunky inside and it’s got some corrosion in there. Is my best bet to put a kit through this one or get a different carby? I think the choke linkage isn’t great either, it’s seems to be doing it’s own thing
It does say aisan on it, but no other tags.

Thanks!

Would be a lot easier to identify with some pictures. Some (all?) Drovers had a mechanical choke, so search for a Sierra kit with the appropriate choke.

You’ll need the factory service manual to complete the rebuild and set the carb up properly.

It might not need anything more than a good disassembly and clean.

Hmm, not convinced that’s the manual choke Sierra carb.

Definitely not manual choke - wondering it I can disable it and put a choke cable on it? Shouldn’t be any reason not to is there? We’ve just cleaned it out and fuel isn’t coming through the bowl vent anymore, so should be right, but be good to know what it is so I can get a kit. Thanks for your help

With the corrosion in it - am I better off putting a Corolla carby on it? If so, what advice has anyone got??

Is there any modification needed to make them work? Which model should I be chasing?
