It starts on the 3rd go of 3second cranks. Sometimes revs drop down to 400 for a second befoe climbing up tp 900. I'll order a fuel filter. I wait till the fuel pump stops before I attemp tp start it. Only when cold, runs like a race car most of the rtime. tzr bye |

Possibly throttle body/tps In my experience soley changing the tps isnt enough to fix fluctuating idle/high idle. Ive found it best to swap the unit/sensor as a whole from another motor |

I thought I'd take the TPS off and give it a hit with throtle body spray. With just two bolts, I thought idiot proof, it's not. After a lot of ajustment, I think I've got it back where it was, How is it fitted ? bye |

The TPSis still out a bit, I've got a hesitation at 2000rpm. Do I just fiddle with it like a distributor till it's smooth ? tar bye |

It's still hard to start. Apparently my buggered water pump could be the cause of this and itermittent idle issue. A guy a Bursons told me I should have checked the new plug gaps. I can't see anything wrong with the cavuum hoses, but I'll replace them too, bye |

Water pump will have nothing to do with hard starting. A G16b will start just fine with every sensor unplugged and no water in it. Problem is most likely ignition related. |

Good, I won't worry about the water pump. The Island is only 7K's long. I realise the TPS is on the way out, but I'll wait till fails. I'll set the sparks to a hackksaw blade, and that's me. bye |
