Hey Zookers, newbie here. Ive just bought a 2" lift kit for my new (not really new) 1994 SWB Vitara. wondering if 30x9.5r15 will fit on my Vitara with a 2" lift without scrubbing? I don't really do any crazy 4WD as of yet, it is my daily driver and drive along the beach on weekends so nothing wild to worry about but I'm deciding between 30s or 235/75/15 which is only about .4 smaller I just love the look of 30s. Thank you! |

Suspension lift doesn’t “fit” bigger tyres, it just resets the rest point of the suspension, not the extents. Therefore when the suspension cycles the tyres will end up exactly where they did before the lift was fitted. On 6” rim you might get by with just flattening the seam in the rear of the front wheel well. If you go to a 7” rim you might have more problems. It’s a while since I’ve plaid with a Vitara but I think that’s pretty close. Consider too that the profile of the tyre is as important as it’s diameter when clearance gets tight because it’s all about steering, so the rear tread width and the shape of the cross section of the tyre makes a difference. |

Bit of a late reply but I have 30x9.5R15s on my stock 94 lwb Vitara and it doesn't scrub lock to lock. It will scrub when turning and flexing or when I've pretty maxed out how far the old girl can flex. The wheel arches have had a bit of hammering over the years, but yeah, 30s are fine for me. |

Except you’ve just described that 30’s scrub. You’ve also explained that you’re OK with that, but that’s not what the OP asked. |
