Post subject:  A year of Suzuki super carry problems

In 2019 i purchased a 1987 suzuki super carry with an f10a. I turned it into a camper and proceeded to drive it 10000 kilometers around nz over 3 months. It always ran rough during this time but it reliably travelled the whole way until I got to the last 100ks of the trip where it blew up

. So I purchased a parts van that ran like a Swiss watch but had a blown gearbox, swapped it into our camper carry and it will not idle, it will run fine with the choke on or with some revs but soon as it drops below 2k rpms it splutters and dies. In the past 9 months I've replaced the fuel pump, rebuilt the carb, redone the intake manifold gasket and carb gaskets twice, new dizzy rotor, points and leads, new plugs, all new vaccume lines, cleaned the fuel tank out. I'm at my whits end and have run out of things to check. Can anyone please give me some direction or help as it's been a year and countless hours and I'm still stuck.

Sounds like idle circuit, be that a blockage, the idle solenoid not working or the solenoid not getting power.

Try an $80 ebay carb
I havent had a bad one yet, generally suzuki carbs can never be rebuilt to run as they did from factory

Yeah I've had an ebay carb on my F10a for about 2 years, cheap as and runs mint.
