Anyone installed a TK1 or Currie anti sway bar kit in their Samurai? Maybe made their own from an Izuzu Trooper 36" torsion bar.......or??

Yes, I know......an anti sway bar is not needed for oem samurai-length springs. I have Yj length springs, and am considering installing one. Like to see how you've installed one, or made your own from donor car parts.

I’d be incredibly surprised if you need one, and if you do, it will require a very low rate- much lower than typical for these torsion bar types.

Which end did you envisage using it?

My yj springs are pretty soft and flexy. I'll have bilstein 5125's valved 170 / 60 on the front and bilstein's valved 255 /70 on the rear.

I do have to use in-boarded shock mount for the rear, it sucks, I know, and in-boarding shocks does potentiate body roll. Hoping the the 255 / 70 shocks installed at a 41 deg angle [ the best I can do ] will help mitigate some body roll.

Been chatting with Tony, the owner of the TK1 Rockcrawler kit. Gave him my zuks specs and my expectations / needs for managing my samurai's body roll. He thot his Rockcrawler kit with 16" arm would provide the anti-sway that I need. It has the smallest diameter bar at .750".

Some pics of the modified Spidertrax bar I just completed. The rear shock angle WAS almost 50 degrees when spoa, it is now 41 degrees with the modded mount and spua.

I'd put the TK1 kit on the front.

Personally I wouldn’t run any swaybar kit on the samurai
