Hey guys, so I've got a G16B in my sierra and recently put in a coily fuel tank and Baleno in tank pump, I extended the wires and fuel hose and the heat shrinked over the wires as I was worried about a spark. Anyway, I had to take the pump out and the heatshrink had turned to jelly, as I was half expecting but how had everyone else gone about extended the wires, are you just crimping them and not covering, research shows that petrol is a poor conductor so just looking to see what others have done. Thanks

Did you use regular heatshrink tube? There is a marine grade that is impervious to fuel & oil.
