Hi Only really use my Sierra to access a particular trout fishing water .. been in probably 6 times in the last 12 months. Anyway this weekend I busted 2 of the 3 leaves in a spring "stack" .. the car is currently sitting in the bush I'm guessing after 30 years the leaves just gave up and called it a day. I will have to walk in (10kms) with a replacement set and replace on the track. I'm thinking of getting a set with a 2 inch lift .. would it be OK just to replace the busted side with a new set and drive the car home (200 kms) and replace the rest at my leisure ?? Stuart |

Yes. Obviously not ideal, but OK at a pinch. |

Before you head out, you could break down the 2" kit and remove the load leaf so it sits lower... if you're on sagged factory leaves, a 2" lift will probably look more like 3"+ - so your steering is going to be way out of centre with a single 2" up front. Could you grab a stock front pack cheap (or free?) from a wrecker and use that to get you home and buy you the time to research the right new suspension? |
