Hey guys few questions 1.8L already installed 1. Are there turbo kits available? If not what do I need? 2. Can I run a piggy back for the ECU or does it require new computer? 3. Where in Brisbane can I get it tuned? 4. Is there anyone around the area that can install it and or tune it? Cheers guys Plenty of photos and updates to come if it all comes together |

Fair bit of information in this old for sale thread. http://www.auszookers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=46268 If google doesn't show up any turbo kits then there probably aren't any that easily bolt on. You would be best to start with a spliced in Liana ECU and inlet manifold. You would almost certainly need some additional EFI piggyback to get the AFR's anywhere close to correct. A regular, well running m18a in a Jimny is more than plenty, imo. |

Biggest question, what driveline can cope with the torque? |

Most people seem to have enough problems getting M18 swaps to run properly, let alone turboing one. CAPA offer(ed) a supercharger for the Jimny - perhaps thats an option to adapt to an M18 swap if you really want over 250Nm. Other than for sand, I can't imagine what task would require that much torque though. |

Yea was looking at the supercharger too but my theory is to have the boost come in late so it's not to put too much extra torque during 4WDriving I basically just want the power for road use |

IMO an m18 powered Jimny is as much power as the jimny chassis/suspension can handle onroad. Off road you definitely dont need extra power, you just need appropriate gearing. Anyway. If you want a turbo, you would be looking at a full custom setup. Custom mani, intercooler, exhaust, fuel system upgrade and a ecu to run the whole thing. Packaging all this is no different to turbo charging any other naturally aspirated vehicle. If you aren't confident in the fab work required then search your local area for fabrication/performance shops who deal with this sort of work. Be preapred for it to cost anywhere from 8-12k to do it properly. |
