Does anyone make aftermarket replacement roof rails for the Jimny?
I would have thought someone would have made something to replace those crap cheap plastic mounts that's on them.

Even replacment feet that you could bolt your own choice of basket/rack to.
I'm looking at making some clamp type feet to mount the heavy duty rack from super cheap to, I just don't know why with all the other stuff on the market nobody has made them already.

There have been a few examples of people making their own or Front Runner do one but it is expensive. Should be easy to fab up your own like this.

I've always thought on a vehicle with a flat roof - the use of 20x40 stainless unistrut would make pretty cool roof rails similar to those rivet on rola or rhino ones however you would be able to use some pretty large fasteners on it and it would be stronger than you would ever need. Add some unistrut nuts and rhs and you could have some very strong sliding cross bars too. Only problem is the stainless unistrut isn't exactly cheap.

Skippy made a roof rack in a very similar design to mine, he added feet so it bolts directly where the plastic rails used to go. used SHS tube and bent up some feet and it wasn't expensive at all. Food for thought
