Hi Guys.
Does anyone have a set of Kuhmo KL71 MT on a Jimny ? If so , what do you think of them.
Thanks.
Stuart.

I've had a set on my Jimny for about 35,000km so far and I'm really happy with them.
They work really well in the terrain I drive and are super grippy on rock/sandstone.

I've done a lot of highway Ks and rotate them very regularly. So far there's no feathering and we haven't had any bad experiences in the wet that some people report with them.

They are pretty noisy and vibrate a fair bit, which is most noticeable on smooth bitumen highways.

I recently did a drive in the Snowies with a friend running new KM2s.
It was pelting rain and long slippery clay hills.
Whenever we stopped on the track I had a look at our tires, the center of mine where always caked with mud and only the side lugs where clear.
The KM2s where totally clean every time I looked at them.

I tested KM2 and KL71 side by side one day after the other on the same climbs of mud and rocks and the KL71 outperformed the KM2 in every test. The only thing the KM2 were better for was on-road - it was easier to steer. The KL71 seem a bit wider so the steering is heavier. You forget that after a few hours of driving though. Plus, you can buy 7 KL71's for the price of 4 KM2s =) lol

ive seen KM2s outperform all commers in our comp scene over here in QLD.

admittedly ours are km2 shipped direct from the states so its possible that the compound is slightly different to aus landed ones
