I am making some 50mm spacers for my bump stops - the rear being easy to access and take off pose no problem, but can anyone tell me if you need to remove the front springs to remove the front bump stops? (recovering from an op and cant really get under there to look properly at the moment - just wanted to know if I can do it easily now or ill have to wait).

Also do the front ones have a thread coming out of them with a nut?

- Spring removal not required, at worst if you springs are heavily sagged you may need to jack the front of the car up slightly. If this were the case, your 50mm bump stop extension would not be possible to fit though. ;)

- Front bump stops are attached with m8x1.25 25mm bolts. The nuts are captive in the bump stop mount.

Ignore my advice, talk to a hairdresser.

Not a hairdresser but ive cut hair before, im sure ive seen the Jimny front bumpstops to be tac welded in place inside the coil spring? Just put your head inside the wheel arch, top of the coil.

They are just pushed in and held in place by a little rubber knob. Good luck getting them out in one peace and yes the springs will have to be removed IIRC
