I think itd be a lot of work. Gearbox and flywheel adapting would probably be the most difficult part. Loom, ecu and immobiliser would all need to come across, and be blendid in (maybe the custom cable dude people use can do it for you?) m15 to replace a g16 seems a bit of a side step for the cash and time involved. Id look at shoe horning a j20, if not avaliable , another g16b to replace it. J20s seem like an awesome engine, i have seen a few at the wreckers with quite a lot more kms than g16bs go. |

I was going to say the same thing. It's kind of feasible in a Sierra because you can make a hybrid sierra/jimny gearbox to avoid custom adapters etc, but that's not eh case for a Vitara. Not worth the hassle in my opinion - stick to an engine suzuki already put in a Vitara. Steve. |

How bad is the crack? Are you loosing a cup of water after a short trip or is any water loss only noticeable after a couple of weeks? I've owned several cracked g16 blocks and have done 3 Nullabor crossings with cracked engines without any issue after Chem-i-weld treatments. |
