I've been doing some reading about upgrading the stereo in my Jimny, and came across the issue of the stock fascia not fitting a double DIN unit. I came across will_wacker89's thread (didn't want to necro a few month old thread) about it and there was some discussion about a few different fascias that you can source.

Quote:
There are 3 Jimny fascias available:
73821-76J00-5PK - Double DIN
73821-76J10-5PK - Double DIN
73821-76J20-5PK - Suits stock head unit

However I've been looking at some double din head units, only to find that some are a few mm different here and there, so I am worried that given I will likely be ordering online, all will arrive and won't fit!

Could anyone who owns either the "J00" fascia or the "J10" fascia be able to give us a measurement, or if anyone has some info another way?
Cheers
-Harry

Should be able to get it too clip in. make sure all the clips are on the fascia and not in the dash holes when reattaching

edit: this guide might help http://www.danbp.org/w/Installing_an_US ... _OEM_Radio

Isn't there a gap in the rounded corners? Apparently some fit but to keep it clean you need to buy a "standard" 2din size facia.

No gap. Stereo came with a thingo that filled in the gaps. Almost looks stock.

That's awesome, do you happen to have the model number/name of the head unit? Still thinking of going with an Alpine one, but always good to have a look around :)
