Hey gang,

As I have led indicators all round on the ute they don't flash at all. What do I need to make them flash? Flasher unit from supershit do the job?

they make flasher units designed for led lights, or you can use those resistors in parallel with each light. i always found this to be a little dodgy looking though, and would work out expensive.

I brought a cheap LED flasher unit to suit the sierra plug configuration from china, and guess what? it didn't fit so I had to trim it back so it did and it didn't work. I am going to head to jaycar and get one from there

Tried a 3pin flasher unit and no go. It was a 30watt and the stock unit is 27watt. Would that make a difference?

Wattage won't make a difference. Probably better off getting some resistors from Jaycar and wiring those in and use standard flasher unit

Most of the flasher units on the shelf are wired backwards to the ones in a sierra. The left and right pins are swapped. I ran one with some jumpers for a week or so while I got one the right way around.

take a look at the pin layouts before you order another.

I had to get 2x 12w load resistors on each blinker to get mine back to spec, there is a specific rule to how many flashes per min in nsw for it to pass rego.
