Hey guys ,
Looking for some advice . I got my harness done by killa I have no doubt harness is fine just want to make sure I have it taped into Sierra harness properly it's cranking fine and I'm getting voltage to coil plug on run and at crank but no spark. I have a new ignitor coil. I have followed the instructions I got with harness just not sure if i got it correct ..as per follows ... orange wire- battery positive which I sliced to main big white wire on ignition which has constant 12v, pink- ignition positive which I spliced to white and black which has 12v on run and voltage at crank and blue- start signal which I spliced to black and yellow which only has voltage at crank. My engine light comes on and I can hear fuel pump run for a bit then stop but don't think it's running while cranking was thinking may have CAS supply wrong.. ?? And I have pulse at injectors cheers any help be good doing my head in not a fan of wiring haha.

Baleno ? Vitara ? X90 ? G16b

Had to shave 2-3mm of plastic off my crank angle sensor with my baleno g16b also make sure theres no gasket filler around the opening

G16b out of a 92 vit. I talked to bloke that did the loom he seemed to think I had a voltage drop which I did so I ran straight from battery into his loom instead of splicing into white constant wire on ignition. It's not dropping now but still no spark and not firing . Was going to check cel fault codes just not sure exactly how to do this I was reading rhinopowers thread on it any advice be awesome . And no gasket goo on dizzy. Cheers.

I having this exact same problem. There's a great page I found yesterday on fixkick specific to spark. It's not written that clearly but it's in depth. Below is a quote from that page relating to the cam position sensor in the dizzy. If you've got power at the coil and the voltage triggers from the CPS as per below then it should be pretty easy to trouble shoot which wire between the ignitor and ECU isn't connected right.

Quote:
CMP TESTS (in the base of the "Dizzy", DTC code 42 fails) 1991-1998

DMM = Digital Multimeter. DSO = Digital Storage Oscillisope or just Scope it.
Do not delay with tools , set your DMM to 20 volt range connect the minus lead to the metal of the engine. (or use DSO)
Connect the Red test lead of the DMM to the distributor white wire side connector (91-98 ,8v or 16v) (do not remove the connector ,just back probe it)
Key on, and crank the motor, the DMM needle will swing from 0v to 5v and back to 0volts for each fining of each cylinder.
The CMP generates a nice 5vdc square wave as seen on a DSO, see photo of DSO below.

Fuel pump doesn't run on crank but does for few seconds on run so makes me think its CAS or ECU problem . i gotta run these codes and and i will go through that page cheers for the link mate.
