What are the easiest methods of replacing the radius arm bushes , i've got a 6t press and am just looking at buying a large cheap socket just slightly smaller.

Definitely use your press! Did all my bushes on my Jimny and replaced them with split polyurethane ones so I'll never need a press again to do the job. Go to Supercheap and get yourself a press tool kit (has all the spacers and bits you'll need). Soak the outside of the bushes with plenty of WD40 as some of the bushes might not budge at first. Use safety glasses and go very slowly and carefully as the bush and radius arm can both turn into missiles (trust me, I know). As the bush is moving through the radius arm on the way out, spray WD40 to keep it moving nicely with less effort

And if the press has maxed out and the bush hasn't moved, flip it over and try again. You may have to flip it a few times. And remember that when the press is maxed out and you get up close and have a closer look, remember that there's the equivalent of 6 Jimnys sitting on that little bush in-front of your face

Alright ill go have a look for one of there kits today thanks for your input Ray.

My 12T only just moves the really stuck bushes, I use a piece of 6mm plate cut to 60mm OD. I need to make one from 10mm as it bows when pressing it out with a big socket on the back of it.

Also, if you don't have a hole in the middle for the center bush pin to slide into you run the risk of tearing it out or premature wear.

I would just PM Bruce and buy his bushes. Better flex and better to work with.

The little sca hydraulic kit is perfect had no trouble pressing the old bushes out and pressing them in was just as easy, just have to slightly modify the large pin to have a hole in the middle so it doesn't tear the bushes as you said.
