Hey guys
Some of you may have read about me asking how to extend the mounts on an arb bar to suit body lift but turns out my mate wants to keep the bar. on the positive side i was looking around in my shed and there is about 8 meters of 32nb tube and a 210x700mm piece of 6mm plate. if you ask me i was thinking that would be perfect for a tube bar.
i am planning on welding a piece of 6mm plate on either side of the chassis and then two other pieces of plate that all the tubing will weld to. i will then make it so that the plate all the tubing is welded to can bolt to the plate welded to the chassis aswell as utilizing the already existent chassis mount holes. is this a bad idea? or does it sound fine? will 6mm plate be enough for them jobs?
if no one understands what i mean i will draw it out and show you but if you get it please let me know what you think as im not some structural engineer and would rather a more knowledgeable sole give me confidence in using the 6mm and 32nb
