You're going to need a lot of stuff though - loom, computer, bonnet (?) instrument cluster, maybe even the fuel tank. It's going to be an enormously expensive conversion for, what I reckon, would be an average outcome. Steve. |

I also second that ^^^ I reckon you wouldn't see much change out of $10k |

Easily. And I reckon a G16B would still feel better to drive. Steve. |

I too have looked at this option but couldn't work out a cheaper option to do it... I want to swap to a diesel for a couple of reasons. Diesel more readily available remotely than 95 unleaded or quality unleaded. But the main been that the company I work for in the mining infustry dont allow petrol on site. I was thinking different options like a old hilux or rocky engine or similar something old school less electric. And I feel the parts would be more available locally. ... what do you knowledgeable people think of that idea? Do you think it could be done cost effective and also achieve a cruising speed of 90 -110 as that's all I'm used to any way. Any opinions or advice appreciated |

This has been covered quite extensively. Buying a hilux or similar would be the easiest option... Next best option if you really wanted a diesel jimny... Import one or wait for them to come to Australia |

So not worth the time and money. I thought a hilux/rocky engine would be cheap an simple.. far to many other problems to deal with. Might just keep renting utes when I go in field for work... or maybe put a diesel badge on the jimny that might keep origin off my back. As for fuel problems ill just need to bring more fuel with me when traveling remotely. |

1.5 DDiS wasn't available in the UK, not in a Suzuki anyway. |
