Yes I have a problem with my Automatic locking hubs on my Jimny... As far as I could find is they seem to work fine if I unplug the lower vacuum hose on the fire wall they engage and dis engage very strong. but when I plug that lower hose in they will only dis engage. its got me very stumped ive pulled the hubs off and cleaned them and i don't have a flashing light on the dash or anything. its a leaver not button type Jimny.

Have you pulled the hubs off recently? (Eg. Just before this started)

It's quite common to happen after you've had the hubs off... If you undo the bolts on the hub and take it off... Hold it close and get someone to activate 4WD for you and it should suck it on. Sounds weird I know, but this fixed it for me trackside once.

Sounds to me to be the only reason they aren't working. Everything else would give a flashing light. Had me and josh stumped until we started trying different things while we were out wheeling. I then found a post on bigjimny.com that confirmed it to be a common fault when replacing hub seals etc. I can't find that post now, tried looking yesterday, but there's so many different posts about the auto hubs failing that it makes searching a nightmare.
Have you looked into fitting a manual hub?

Yeh going down that path atm. Seems to be to many issue with these auto things... the only thing that puzzles me is they work fine when i take 1 hose off the vacuum lines on the fire wall... I thought 1 was locking and 1 was unlocking.

Have you taken the hubs off yet like we suggested? Not having a dig at you, just trying to eliminate it.

Sounds like one of the lines could be blocked... Can you unattached the rubber hoses from the engine bay and under the front right hand side and blow compressed air through them? Probly wouldn't hurt taking the hubs off and doing the same with the nozzles on them too...

Did you put the filter on the right way round? It's a oneway valve so if it's on the wrong way it won't work.
Pm 31zook, he may have a set of rings, but I suggest cutting the end of the axle. We've both done this due to snapping hub bolts over and over again. This is with a front locker, chromos and 30" tires.... Standard cvs will bust before the hub bolts if you're running spacers, but there's another option for you to think about.

Are the lines on the same way either side? Causing it to unlock on and lock the other? I will have a set of hubs up forsale shortly and I can supply the ring if needed.
