Post subject:	Rear driveshaft slip yoke
Hi guys, I'm bolting on my driveshafts from a donor car to my project sierra and having a few dramas with the slip yoke. I have cleaned it pretty well but it is not fully compressing (only slides in about 50 mil or so and there is still a decent amount of yoke exposed before it gets stuck. Splines seem straight so I'm a little confused as to if this is normal or not or if I'm doing anything incorrectly. Thanks

Do you put fresh grease on it? I remember when I had mine out doing the unis I put fresh grease on the slip yoke and putting it back together I had a similar thing happen, Just push harder because you need to get the air out of the joint.

Yea, I put new grease on. There's air build up when I put it on but it's escaping and then it just stops abruptly and gets stuck. I have just gone out and poured kerosene into the female part of the yoke to loosen any debris inside. Ill leave it overnight and check back tommorow.

Still not moving, I'm just going too bolt it up. Maybe some flexing will free it up a bit haha

Does it have a grease nipple on the end where the slip goes in?

Nope. I think the splines may be slightly bent. Seems to have cleared itself up after I started flexing her up.
