could anyie tell me the reccomended off set for a 1996 sierra coily rim?

Thats interesting,i've seen it posted before but i have a 1996 Coily and the rims are different offset(i didn't know that when i purchased them) to the Vitara rims i have.The coily ones have the centre in the middle whilst the Vitara centre is on the outside meaning the majority of the rim is on the inside.When i fitted the Vitara rims the track was slightly narrower.

I purchased the car 2nd hand so it may have had earlier model rims fitted or earlier Coilys didn't have Vitara rims.

I vote earlier rims were fitted. Aus delivered coil sierras were fitted with vitara rims.

Well I have a set of standard rims of my coily as I now have new ones and they look like the vit ones.
