The rear is completely different. The front 3rd member is similar, you can use the front R&P in a Sierra with some fiddling, they are a different ratio though.
Except that it's eight years older, so unless it's been reconditioned (well) it's probably in much poorer condition than the 1.3 that's currently in the sierra.
If the donor car has power steering, you can pull that off and fit it to the sierra with a BenT adapter kit sold on here in the vendors area.
I've wrecked out quite a few vitaras. You'd be surprised how little can be swapped.

well then, i wont be getting the rims, oh nah i will ill just put road tires on thm, would that be ok? The engine looks like its been ruined, sandy and shit up in there. ill have a look for power steering, and yeah steve i thought more stuff would be compatible.
Oh, I just saw you have an SJ80, or coil sierra - 1996 was the changeover year, so it could have gone either way.
The rims have the same offset as an SJ80, so you can use the vitara rims on your car without a problem.
However, the front diff is completely different between an SJ80 and any other sierra, and a Vitara, so you can't use the front ring and pinion from a vitara in an SJ80. You could put the vitara front R&P in the rear of your SJ80, but you can't get a matching ratio for the front so it's pointless.
