| Post subject: | transfer question |
hey guys just a quick one, I have a sj51 LWB 1.3ltr sierra, I was wonder can I take the transfer case out and fit it to a sj70 SWB, the transfer I have has the handbrake on it. the sj70 I have just brought has the handbrake on the rear wheels. can I fit the transfer with the handbrake to the car with the handbrake on the rear wheel, are the tail shafts the same or will I have to swap them, this will only be short term until I find a new transfer case. I hope this makes sense. the story is, I have a sj51 LWB in the shed I am doing up. I have just brought the sj70 swb all the swb needs is a transfer and I should be able to get it roadworthy. I was just wondering if it can be done this way. thanks Paul |

Physically it will fit...but the flanges have different hole centre's. |

Bolt transfer in and use the short half of the lwb tailshaft to make a hybrid tailshaft. Quickest way to fit it without sourcing more bits |
