hey guys just a quick one, I have a sj51 LWB 1.3ltr sierra, I was wonder can I take the transfer case out and fit it to a sj70 SWB, the transfer I have has the handbrake on it. the sj70 I have just brought has the handbrake on the rear wheels.
can I fit the transfer with the handbrake to the car with the handbrake on the rear wheel, are the tail shafts the same or will I have to swap them, this will only be short term until I find a new transfer case.
I hope this makes sense.

the story is, I have a sj51 LWB in the shed I am doing up. I have just brought the sj70 swb all the swb needs is a transfer and I should be able to get it roadworthy. I was just wondering if it can be done this way.

Physically it will fit...but the flanges have different hole centre's.

Bolt transfer in and use the short half of the lwb tailshaft to make a hybrid tailshaft. Quickest way to fit it without sourcing more bits
