Hi guys,
Since installing an ironman spring lift kit on my SQ625 just over a year ago, the ironman springs have sagged heavily (one spring has also had the powder coating rust off) and the front struts appear to have no damping near full droop (which is the only place I can perceive this happening without disassembling the suspension - there may well be a damping problem everywhere in the travel ??).
Either way, I don't have much faith in another ironman front suspension being reliable over time, so I'm looking at replacing with a Dobinson set up.
To the Question -
Does anyone have an SQ625 GV without front bull bar/winch or 2nd battery that can advise what height is achieved from the lower wheel rim (of 16" std steel wheel), to the underside of the front mudguard ?
Or, if you do have a bull bar/winch/2nd battery, please advise the approx weight of these so I can factor this into the equation.
If possible, please advise which part No. (of spring) was used and if any spacers (and thickness of same) were used for your height measurement.
Those that have used Dobinson springs / front struts, how have they faired over time ? Would you buy them again / recommend them ?
