a friend of mine have started getting her sierra ready to drop a 1.8 celica motor into the her sierra. does anyone know of someone that has done this before ? |

Celicas came out with the following 1.8L motors. 3T-E 3T-GTE 4T-GTEU 1S-U 1S-iLU 4S-Fi 7A-FE 1ZZ-FE 2ZZ-GE But they are all 1.8's, so I guess its the same job fitting any of them.

18R (GEU) is a bloody good engine but damn heavy. 120 cubic inches... 145 horsepower. While Corona/Celica 4 speed boxes are tough as old boots, good luck finding a short enough 5 speed to work in a Zuk. |

There was details on the Internet a few years ago for installing the Corolla motor into a Sierra,just did a search and nothing came up so not sure where it's hiding. |

An 18R is much bigger and heavier than any corolla motor I saw a factory boosted 18r in a Sierra many years ago. Apparently it was scary fast but there were big clearance/fitment issues. Steve. |

I have a 96 coily sierra with an 18r 2.0lt engine bolted to 5 speed box it goes ok but needs some boost |
