Hi all

I'd like some honest opinions from people that have these lifts please. Talking through experience, if you know what I mean?

The time has come to lift my 99 jimny. But I'm at a bit of a cross roads on which lift to purchase? I would like the longer arms included.

I see that a few people have lifts on here, But nobody has done a product review or report on their kits, bad, good or otherwise. That's what makes the decision complicated :-)

I will be using it off road to it's full limits.
The list thats going on the jimny is a follows,
9000 pound winch with rope
Joeblow winch bar
Ultima 225 lights
WRX seats (front)
1600 16V eng
Custom rear steel bar
Steel side rails
31's on XL7 alloys
The list above is so you get an idea on the weight factor.

Your knowledge would be appreciated :oops:

well i run the JB 2 inch lift and the 3 inch lift is pretty much the same illd presume so is so illd highly recommend it very flexy, and get the springs for the diesel model to put up with the extra weight , also JB sell radius correction arms also so u can get everything in one go, also get extended brake lines

With 31s I'd suggest the Off Road Armoury arms. I assume you'll be getting some gears with 31s
If you're not concerned about on road performance a long soft coil would be best, check with the various suppliers regarding uncompressed length of their 75mm coils.
If you want ultimate articulation I'd suggest checking compressed and extended lengths of the shocks that are supplied with the kit. Shocks are the main limiting factor to articulation.
Rear shock location brackets will add to shock extended length and necessary for avoiding damage to rear shocks.

How strong do you find the complete kit in a whole. Eg control arms, bushes & shocks with the kit? Any problems? What's the ride quality like with the complete package? What's the ride like with the diesel spring fitted (off road?)

How much longer than standard are the ORA arms than standard. Have you had any issues with your lift at all. eg bushes, shocks or other issues.

I will be getting gearing soon zukenutter. Slowly slowly the worm eats the apple lol. I'm just waiting on the JML bar, cv's, t-case gears & most importantly 75mil lift befor I start to put the whole thing together. It can't arrive quick enough to my door lol. I just wish to get the wright lift the 1st time.

My lift is a combination of brands, I've gone through different coils and shocks over a number of years and have combined them as suitable to my needs and wants.

All components have been trouble free.

I'd go stock front coils in the rear with 5"procomp es3000 shocks with shock relocators, tough dog adjustable panhard rods front and rear, 40mm bumps top extensions in the rear to stop the shocks from bottoming out and tyres eating the guards. Then in the front JB 75mm coils and arms with 5" procomp shocks again and bump stop extensionors.
