just wondering what you get in a timing belt kit as Repco told me it's $270 for the kit for my 91 efi vitara. if it's just a belt, idler and 2 seals i'll buy it speratley for about $120. to buy it seperatley they were unsure of which belt it is as there's 2 on there listing, anyone know which one it is for my car like how many teeth it has. cheers. |

what numbers are listed according to them? gates say there is only a T212 for 16 valve, I know there are a few for sierras but not on a vit AFAIK pull your cover off and just read the number off would be the best bet, easier than trusting repco to know what you have |

Tell them to go stick that! Try Supercrap or some other supplier. My Sierra one was heaps cheaper than that!! The kits have a belt, tensioner bearing and 2 seals. |

The DAYCO kit for my 1.6 EFI was $98 Pt No KTBA125 From REPCO I reccommend also if it has 2-3 thousand k's on it do the water pump as well as you have to remove the belts to replace the pump better doing it once. |

Everything else was alright with mine, so I changed just the belt during routine servicing. Can't remember what I paid, but was around the $20 mark. There are 2 differant types of belt. One with square teeth and one with round teeth. Mine a 92 WT with a 1298cc engine and it took the round teeth belt, but the best thing to do is to remove the old belt first and take it with you to use as a sample. |
