When my lever was stuck in neutral it was packed full of sand. I just pulled it out on the track and got it all out. Might be worth a look, but having said that it's probably the shifter bush

Hey Pete, can you get the bush that suits the early non-switched case?

No pictures because I don't have a bush, it's actually worn a nice groove into the transfer body! The old one was just a few tiny chunks of plastic scattered throughout the case.

As far as I can tell, it's just a smaller diameter and a bit shorter. Suzistore said they were the same (I asked after an eBay seller said they were different) so I bought their shifter kit and the only bit that fitted was the boot (didn't try the detents ect) but the collar and bush were slightly to large to fit. The bush kinda fitted but it disintegrated whilst I was trying to fit it. :x The diameter was to large and it didn't fit under the bolt that guides the stick.

I've been running it with no bush for months now, it's always a nervous moment when I shift into low range.
