Just finished off a G16A conversion on my sierra, using an auto choke carby off a swift, once warmed up it idles at about 2300rpm. The throttle stop screw is backed right off and the choke appears to work properly. Any ideas?

Does it rev lower than that with the choke on? When you were screwing the screw out were the revs dropping? The accelerator cable might be holding it on.

Cable is loose, no change in revs as screw was turned, pushing choke on by hand dropped revs.

Checked ignition timing, Was at 0 degrees so reset to 8, which only increased the revs
