Hi guys another question for the Jimny gurus! Just as the title says, I fitted a 3" lift kit yesterday to the Jimny and drop radius arms came with poly bushes already fitted but my rear radius arms are flogged out badly! Need some advice on how to remove and install replacement bushes. The car handles loose in the rear like it has 5psi in rear tyres they are chopped out that bad and it's a worry to drive. |

Use a press to press them out and press the new ones in. |

Hmmm now finding a press will be a mission! Will front radius arms fit as a replacement on the back? My front arms have great bushes in them but I have replaced the arms with drop radius arms so now they are kicking back relaxing in the shed. |

I used a hammer and cold chisel to get the old one's out and a bit of heat, hammer and plate to get the new one's in.... |

I have a piece of steel perfectly lathed to push the bushes out/in if you get desperate. If they're the same as a sj80 coily that is. |

Thanks heaps guys for the offer of help and tools! I reckon I will probably just rip the radius arms out and go door knocking on workshops until I find one with a press willing to do it for me........couldn't cost to much surely?? Unless someone willing to help near central coast nsw and is up for some free cold ones? I got my brother to grab the back wheel on the jimny and Rock it back and forward and can clearly see the whole diff moving forward and back on the radius arms! Hmmm don't think I will drive it at all until job done, just asking for mechanical failure or worse.... A wreck! |

Its easy as pie if you have a SDS Drill that you can use in chisel mode. You can bodge pressing the new ones in with a decent Vice if you have one. |
