I've just picked up a J20 powered 4 door GV. getting the SV420 ready for sale. If I dont get my asking or near to it, I might part it out. In my dreams the stock diff heads might be swappable. Anyone know? Also I have the TSOR petrol tank protector on the SV and after a rough measure up it looks like it will swap too. Anyone???
I know the front bar and snorkel wont swap:(

Steve.

The SV diffs will bolt straight into the GV, but the front GV diff has vacuum actuated crap so you wouldn't be able to fit that to the SV without doing something to it.

Why do you want to swap them, do you have lockers fitted to the SV already?

Yep, should've added that I have an ARB in the rear of the SV so if the diff ratios are the same I'd rather swap it over. I'll be looking for a steel front diff.
Thanks for that.

Steve.

If the gv is a J20 manual it will have 4.8 diffs. If its auto it will have 5.12. If i was you i would swap the diffs over (front and back) and get rid of the air front diff. you will also have to fit manual hubs if you do this.

If your planning on going bigger tyres you will want to do diff gears anyway if its a manual.

B4T Thanks for the help. Its already on 235 70 16s and I dont want to go any bigger. I might put a suspension kit in it but I'll use it a bit before I do anything significant. Steve.
