Well a few weeks ago I did an oil and filter change which resulted in a seized cam.

I've now got a 2nd hand head which has been fitted. I had it running for a few moments and the oil pressure light was still on, We took the switch out and cranked the engine, No oil spurts out like it does with dads sierra.

So, Could it be a dead oil pump? (Found some score marks when we pulled it apart)

Also strangely noted the front of the crank is dry after we pulled the sump off.

I think you have answered your own question. Unless the oil filter has something wrong with it?
