Hay guys,

I've picked up a 85 drover, it seems to be ok except a few little issues, main one is every now and then it crunches gears badly - some times its fine. Usually i would assume gearbox issues but i noticed that with the clutch pushed fully to the floor at idle occasionally it will try to drive foward and will actually take off with some revs! when this happens its dam near impossible to get it into gear.

Ive had a suss of the clutch adjustment but it looks to be adjusted to maximum, any ideas what may be the cause of this, i'm thinkíng stretched cable but it's my first suzuki so i thought i'd ask some experts.

any help would be appreciated
Cheers

Where the cable meets the gearbox the arm is attached to the gearbox by a splined shaft.
There are 2 dots, one on the shaft and one on the arm, make sure these are aligned.

The clutch cable is adjustable at the gearbox as well as at the bracket that attaches to the engine block.
