Hi guys wondering what offset rims you guys use to clear 33s I don't want them to rub on chassis or springs I don't mind trimming the guards a bit? Also where can you buy rims from?

I have 2" springs 2" extended shackles and have a 2" body lift to go in for the 33s..

you will probably have to narrow track the front end springs to stop them from rubbing on the springs. other wise a small amount of massage for the guards should be enough. I have a sierra running 33x10.5s with only 2 inch lift and a guard chop.

If you have WT spring spacing then -24 15x8's might just clear the springs, my 34's rubbed only just at full lock on those rims. in a 15X7 I would be going a custom offset to match the track width of 15x8's (PM fatzook or offroad solutions on here for that) but -13 will give the same inside edge and might clear but I can't be certain.

It's a nt not wt so probably makes it harder to fit them?

With some WT diffs under it, it will be easier.

-24 15x8 rims with some 33x12.5" (most common 33" width bought by most) will not clear the springs with WT spacing. You would need more offset and/or a narrower tyre.

I've got NT with 33s -24 off set 2inch spring 2inch shackles.. Don't take off to well. Tyres are 12.5
Had to remove some of the front bar and front mud flaps
Cutting the side bit under the doors it's like the bottom panel join bit
that cuts the tyre.

I'd be doing a RUF. Moving the diff forward and inch or two.

get 33x10.5 BFG KM2s or look for tyres in a 265/85-16 (16" rim).

Do you mean 255 85 16?

Ive never heard of 265 85.

If you meant 255 85 I think theres only 3 different treads available. two of them being KM2 and the bighorn.

So you can do it with 33x10.5 where can you get rims with different offsets? Also what do you guys think of the km2s do they perform well?

i have a wt sierra with some 31"x10.5"x15 on f100 wheels and they scrub when turning i also have a 2" lift and 2" extended shackles and the rims dont have much off an offset. when i go to change rims shortly what would you guys recommend i go too? i get a bit stuck and lost with the offsets of rims its all confusing haha. cheers

Work out what offset your current rims are first. Measure from the mounting flange to the edge of the rim on both sides. Then look for a rim with more - offset than your current rims. A 15x7" rim will fit a 10.5" wide tyre well and are commonly available in -13mm offset.

Why do people always talk about spring lift equaling clearance when, if working correctly it won't. If anything good suspension will actually reduce clearance by leveraging off the bumpstops etc.

^^ Just a little reminder of the fundamental truth of this.

I've asked a number of times for people to prove with photographs, drawings etc how it is possible that suspension lift alone fits bigger tyres, and nobody has managed it yet. I have seen some photos of very poorly functioning suspensions though.

Steve.
