G'day I own a 1998 SJ80 Coily, i currently have 2 inch raised King-springs on the front and rear and im running Suzi-sport Shockies (Ultima Brand) all round. I've been driving with these for over 6 months and have regretted purchasing the Shockies, I've had to return two rears already due to leaking oil and even when they are working fine they're still terrible, you definitely get what you pay i guess. If anyone knows of a different brand and part number if possible that i can use on the rear I'd appreciate it. Cheers Dec |

Just measure your closed and opened lengths, take those measurements to anywhere that sells shockies and match the lengths in the brand you want. |

Thanks Rusho, that was my next plan, can you give me any brand that would be best? I've been told Rancho. What do you run? If you still have the original coily set up that is. |

Haven't had much to do with Rancho...from what I have heard they are crap. You want something that is valves to suit the cars weight. As much as I hate to say it, maybe Pedders or even cheap Munro gas shocks from repco |

Hello, I'm new at auszookers and i'm from israel. i've also having problem finding rear shocks, just moded monroe senstrac for the front and i was really suprised from how good they worked. but rears with 43cm exteneded i can't find at any brand except from kyb which look too cheap.. i hoped to find some driections here. i also have 2" raised springs , from tjm, i guess they are the same as yours. |

If your looking for a common shock to use thats heavy duty try the NL pajero (1997 - 2000) (coil spring model) i used them in the rear of mine. But you will need a longer coil springs, i used jimny fronts with a coil spacer. I found them to be too heavy duty for light loads. Even better would be a 40mm lift jimny front coil spring with a spacer. this also results with better down travel as you can see in the picture...
