Hey guys, I was looking at some of these for my 91 SJ&0 W/T Sierra

Not sure of the sizing matters... the 4.75" (Non-Cut), 6" (Non-Cut) or the 6" (Pre-Cut)

Not sure if YOUR sizing matters.

Do your tyres stick out of the flat body panels, not flares, 4.75" or 6"?
Get the non cut, Because then you can cut to suit.

Bushwanker flares are crap, but are really the only option if you are alot wider than standard. A 4.75 flare will cover a 15x8 rim with upto -30 offset. Anything bigger than that you will have to opt for the 6 inch flare. They are a very brittle flare and cannot take much pressure placed upon them, or they crack. They usually tear the eyelet out of where they are bolted to the body.

I have 2 good, 2 wrecked & 4 brand new bushwackers on order from lowrange. Have a look at my build thread for carnage pics and vid from my last trip.

They are a poser flare that look awesome, but need to be combined with brush bars to make them practical. Thats what i'm getting done when my new flares arrive...

Yeah my 6" will be guarded by tube. (mainly to cover the tyres still :lol: )

Not a big fan of the DBOR Flares :/

I guess I'll just get a set of 6" Non Cut flares from Low Range

DBOR flares seem to have become fragile of late. We've been buying them for years and they seem to split now. We have some old ones in the club that have been mercilessly flogged and they are still fine.

They are also too narrow for 8" rims/12.5 tyres.

I'll second that Bushwacker are rubbish though. They look OK, and are plenty wide, but they just fall apart. adding brush bars to protect them seems counterproductive - a flare should deform so you don't get hung up on it, not need protection by adding a bar outside of it.

Just my 2C.

If someone made a mould to make bushwhacker flares out of urethane instead of glass I'd be ecstatic.

The only reason im running bar outside the flares, its because of tyres..
So for me, Its not counterproductive.

Otherwise, You can get away with stock flares and 3" bushranger rubber for -28 8"rim/12.5 tyres on wt zook diffs. Clark rubber also sell it.

Hi guys looking at buying a suzuki sierra zook and the wheels stick out past the regular flares and he has put rubber extensions on.

Is this still illegal in wa or will I have to buy 6" flares?

Rubber flare extensions arnt illegal in w.a. 70%+ sierras in perth have them
