Post subject:  Jimny Caster Correction

I have a couple of questions about caster correction for my 2009 Jimny.

I only have a 40mm lift from OME but I have the typical steering vibration between 70 and 80 kph. Reading posts on this I am going to try some additional cater as a starting point. My caster is within spec at the moment.

I was thinking of buying these ones from ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-Jimny ... 1c1bd2aa88 for $149.

I have a few questions:
1) - Does anyone know if these bushes are any good?
2) - If I am adding anohter 2.5 degrees of caster how much heavier will the streeing become.
3) - Are there any adverse affects from increasing caster apart from the force required to turn the wheel?

Thanks for any advice.

I've got those bushs with my 100mm lift...not enough castor for 100mm of lift

I will be getting rid of mine soon for castor corrected radius arms....

In a Jimny if you need more than the offset castor bush offers you can simply slot the diff mounts. the botl preassure is more than enough to hold it in place on a jimny. I have done it. If it moves weld some washers in.
Yes its techniocally not legal but who is going to know

Uh, the coroner when they investigate why a heavy pothole hit twisted your axle, made the car unsteerable and you ran off the road and cleaned up a group of school kids?
It's not about whether you'll get defected for it in a random roadside check, its about the worst case, one in a milllion scenario when shit hits the fan and you've sent yourself to jail over a bodgy modification.
