hi guys. me again lol just wondering if when i turn the key on on my sierra if fuel should start running up to the fuel pump on the head? ive just had the motor and box out for few months and am now trying to hook up the last wires correctly and get it going. i disconnected the hoses off the head fuel pump and nothing comes out when i turn the key on or crank the motor over. sound like i have a problem? gotta sort out the dizzy position and rotor button placement to get it started also |

the pump needs to be hooked up to suck up fuel, if the hose are off nothing will come up the hoses as nothing is sucking.. |

You will have to have all the hoses around the right way for the pump to work. If the pump and lines are dry it might take abit of cranking to get the system primed. |

yeah pumps been taken off. put the pin back in. there the same pin between 1.3 sierra and 1.6 vitara arent they? think i read that on here. i have the pin i took out of the spare 1.3 head in it as i couldnt find the 1.6 one i took out at the time but read there the same so didnt worry about it. think guy at suzistore said there the same also ok. big hose goes on the big one. thats easy. what bout the other 2? |

| Post subject: | 1.3 carby sierra fuel issue. intank pump? |
hi mates. me again. need to know if they run an intank fuel pump to pump it up to the head fuel pump? if they do would it be possible i disconnected the wires for it when i pulled the motor and gearbox out of the car? im not getting fuel to the pump at the head. can get it running with fuel in the carby and keep it going with more fuel in the carby but the line remains dry i checked the fuel filter. looks ok. when i blow through it it flows perfect with no restriction. |

They only have that one fuel pump. Check that the fuel lines are all connected, and if so pull the pump off and check the diagphram. |

Please try and keep to one thread if its all about the same problem are you sure you have the lines on correct? take what you think is the inlet from teh tank and remove it and fit another hose into a tin of fuel and crank it to see if it picks it up, sometimes its hard to get fuel sucked up from the tank to know if you have the lines wrong |
