no, but in my experience fitting the clears on boats, i would either use a heat gun or boiling water and that allows it to strecth a bit more |

my MU canvas tonneau was like that... i parked the car in the shade and waited for a 35 degree day in summer... left the soft top in the full sun on the driveway for half an hour before fitting. i've not taken it off since cos it still looks like its straining just sitting there =) haha but i got it on with minimal effort once it was heated up (it was actually hot to touch). |

first thing i thought after reading your post was 'i bet he lives in victoria or tasmania'... although even here in QLD i struggle getting mine on in winter, or even at night. but as alien said, a little sun and its a lot less effort... |

what brand is it? My suggestion is you leave it spread out over some bitumen for an hour or two during the middle of the day... then fit. One trick is to clip and unclip the snap in different order until you get them all on....and don't forget the tension straps |

sit it over the car and stick a blow heater inside the car for 15 minutes, it will be toasty warm then |
