I've got 6.5 gears in my transfer case. I put them in a few years ago. on all the flanges there is a fair bit of movement up and down. It's not noisy but the movement seem excessive.

I'm not sure if it's bearings or thrust washer issues?

I'm not sure, but I would think your bearings may have seen better days.
Come to think of it, I think my front output shaft had a bit of movement when rebuilt...

Is it the flange moving up and down/side to side on the shaft?
Or
Is it the shafts moving up and down/side to side compared to the transfer?

First thing, check that your flange nuts are tight, If they have been loose for some time the splines wear and can give movement

flanges are tight, and have been tight since put the gears in. movement is the whole shaft.

X2.

Thrust washers worn would create in-out movement, not up and down.

does anyone know the part numbers for the bearings in the transfer, i was going to order them before i pull it apart.
I was also wondering if the speedo drive of a 1litre transfer case fits into the 1.3. the 1 litre isn't one with a 4wd light.
thanks for the help

Lowrange have them as a kit, or PM weaves, he's AZ's bearing guru!

Link to LowRangeTransferRebuildKits

Oh and when I got 6.5's from Lowrange I got the gear install supplement kit and it all fitted in the $60 shipping box they use.

I got the transfer case apart and found that all the bearings had movement. so just need to order bearings and get it back together
