Got the Tough Dog 80mm lift kit fitted with extended brake lines and now the ABS light is continually on. Brakes still seem fine (although haven't tested ABS). Got it booked in soon to have them check it out. Hopefully not a big deal. Any clues what was done incorrectly ?

The lift certainly is feels high compared to the OME lift I had. Harder ride as well. Will be good when I get the larger tyres though. (about 3 week wait)

Cheers

Are the ABS sensor plugs all plugged in? (one on each wheel)

It's not adjustable......... so what "magic" are they going to work???

OP, you have either stretched a sensor wire or one is disconnected...

ABS should not be fucked with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well der, when you lift it the diffs rotate and upsets the ABS ecu cause it thinks you are going both uphill and downhill at the same time and the reverse circle spin ratio gets all screwed up.

Know any mechanics with a scanner tool so you can find out exactly what code is being thrown??

Or will it just be a general ABS code?? Hmm

I'm returning to Brakeland... all they do are breaks. The 4X4 shop sent the vehicle there to do the break part of things. So hopefully they know what they are doing. They have been in business for years.

Stekky might know, the ABS might have a correct reset or bleed procedure otherwise the light comes on

I would think a brake shop that allows a car to leave with the light on is going to be useless in fixing it

they must have disconected something accidently, because abs lines are easy to change, we do them often at work, so a sensor muct have come off or something along those lines

Either you have a left an abs connector loose, or you have broken the tiny little wires that ABS cables are. Time to get the multimetre out and find out where it is :P
