I have a WT diff I have used in 2 of my NT sierras over the past few years. Its been given a bit of a hiding and i bought it from another bloke who had given it a bit of a hard time also. Im in the process of building my new LWB and Im thinking I should really confirm its straight and ready to go. Otherwise Im going to put the Cromo's locker and diff gears in it and drive it down the road and find its CRAP! So the magic question is, how can you tell its straight? Or is it a case of the old "high tech" machinery. |

I use a laser level with dot function. Shoot through the centre of one side onto a piece of paper on the otherside. Its ok to be out by a little bit. |

Good thinking! I might get a piece of string and put it through and make it tight then have a look at some clearance from there, making sure the diff will be airbounre on stands or timber, etc. |
